WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 30, the Save American Workers Act of 2015:

“President Obama’s health care law dramatically reduced employees’ workweek to 30 hours, putting service industry jobs at risk and forcing employers to cut hours.  In my district, the 30-hour workweek rule has restaurants, hotels, golf courses, and vacation rental companies up in arms.  The law I supported today will restore the traditional 40-hour workweek, giving my constituents and workers across the country the certainty they deserve.”

President Obama has issued a veto threat for the Save American Workers Act, his third veto threat of the week.
