WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) today released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 596, which repeals the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and health care-related provisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010:

“The President’s one-size-fits-all health care law is not the answer to our country’s broken health care system.  For too long, it has stifled job creation, cut employee hours, and artificially driven up the cost of health care.  Today, we took the first step toward fully repealing Obamacare and replacing costly government mandates with patient-centered health care initiatives.”
