Rep. Rice Releases Statement on Passage of Preliminary Damage Assessment Improvement Act of 2020

Washington, DC – Congressman Tom Rice (R-SC) cosponsored the Preliminary Damage Assessment Improvement Act of 2020 (PDAIA). Rep Rice released the following statement regarding the passage of PDAIA today.
“The Seventh District of South Carolina is no stranger to the damage that can be caused by natural disasters. The Preliminary Damage Assessment Improvement Act will establish damage assessment teams in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to ensure that damage is reported and critical funding is disbursed accurately and efficiently.”
“This crucial legislation will help communities recover from damage by improving consistency and swiftness in the preliminary damage assessment process. I am proud to co-sponsor the PDAIA to ensure there is dependability in FEMA reports.”
