Hurricane Florence has been updated to a Category 4 storm and is expected to impact our area on Thursday. The time to prepare for this storm is now. Governor McMaster has ordered mandatory evacuation for all hurricane evacuation zones in all coastal South Carolina counties, effective TOMORROW, Tuesday, September 11th, at 12 pm. In the Seventh District, this includes Evacuation Zones A, B, and C in both Horry and Georgetown counties. Starting tomorrow, public schools and state offices will be closed until further notice in twenty six counties, including Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, and Marlboro.

We are all praying for the best, but preparing for the worst. If you are instructed by local authorities to evacuate, please immediately make plans to do so.
