Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) today released the following statement regarding the House passage of H.R.3522, Employee Health Care Protection Act of 2013:

“The President’s health care law has been riddled with problems and confusion since it was signed into law,” said Congressman Rice.  “American workers and the insurance providers who supply companies with group health care plans should not be forced to comply with ever-changing regulations and plan requirements.  The President originally promised that if Americans liked their health care plans, they could keep them.  Since this proved to be untrue, this legislation will amend the law to allow American workers to keep their current health care plans if they like them, instead of purchasing a health care that fits a laundry list of government requirements.”
