Washington, DC – Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) today released the following statement after the Obama Administration announced another delay of the Obamacare employer mandate:
“Another day, another delay has become the tagline of the President’s broken health care law,” said Congressman Rice. “American businesses and families cannot plan due to the confusion coming out of Washington. Successful businesses plan ahead and they cannot create, much less implement, a plan when the President changes the law every day on a whim.
“Furthermore, the President continues to abuse his discretionary authority by changing the law unilaterally. Actions like this are why I introduced the Stop This Overreaching Presidency (STOP) Resolution, and I will continue to ensure that the President puts his Constitutional duty first and his party, legacy, and politics at a far second,” concluded Congressman Rice.
“The Obama administration announced Monday it's delaying part of the Obamacare employer mandate for a second year, exempting mid-size businesses until 2016 and giving big businesses more time to ramp up to full coverage,” reported Politico.
