WASHINGTON – Congressman Tom Rice (R-SC) released the following statement after voting no on the government spending bill.

“I could not in good conscience vote for a spending bill that does not allocate adequate resources for border security while American citizens are suffering due to the unchecked flow of drugs and cheap labor coming across our southern border. It is unacceptable that this legislation did not provide relief to the millions of Americans who were impacted by natural disasters last year. This bill does not reflect the priorities of South Carolinians or Americans, and I could not support it.”
