WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Rice (SC-07) released the following statement after President Obama vetoed legislation to build the Keystone XL Pipeline:

“Today, not only did the President veto thousands of American energy jobs, he vetoed the wishes of the American people.  A majority of Americans and Members of Congress from both sides of the aisle support the Pipeline, but the President refuses to put politics aside.  Americans want to see Washington work together on positive solutions to our country’s problems—solutions that will lower monthly bills, grow paychecks, and make our country more competitive.  My colleagues and I remain committed to working on these solutions, and I hope the President decides to join us.”
