Taxpayer Hero Award

 
  South Carolina families are expected to live within their means and Washington should be held to the same standard. I am proud to be named a “Taxpayer Hero” by the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste for my efforts to protect your tax dollars and reign in wasteful government spending. I will keep working to bring some South Carolina common-sense and accountability to budgeting in Washington!

  SC Job Creators  
  Honda employs hundreds of people in the Seventh District and contributes significantly to our state economy. I recently met with members of the Honda team to discuss federal policies that impact their South Carolina operations and employees. Ensuring businesses like Honda continue to create jobs in the Palmetto state is one of my top priorities!   

 
 

Georgetown Update 

 
  I had a great meeting with Mr. Ray Funnye this week. Mr. Funnye is the Director of Public Services in Georgetown, South Carolina. He gave me an update on important projects on the horizon and we discussed ways we can work together to benefit the entire community!   

 
 

Gold Star Spouses Day 

 
  Friday was Gold Star Spouse Day, an opportunity to honor the surviving husbands and wives of fallen U.S. military personnel. Behind every brave service member is a family who also makes great sacrifices for our country. Gold Star spouses and families are always in my prayers!
