I joined C-SPAN to discuss the President's budget priorities and talked about how Republican policies have created opportunity for people across the country. Watch the full interview below!

Infrastructure Investment Pays Off

South Carolina's port system drives our state economy and the Dillon Inland Port has brought the success of the state's freight industry to the Pee Dee. Companies from across the country are flocking to our region to access the Dillon Inland Port. This week, it was announced that two new projects are in the works that could bring 275 new jobs to Dillon! Additionally, President Trump included funding for the Charleston Harbor Deepening Project in his budget request. This funding will enable the entire South Carolina port system to expand to new markets and create jobs across the entire state.

These infrastructure investments are creating opportunities for generations to come in the Palmetto State and our future has never been brighter!

  National Ag Week

This week was National Agriculture Week and South Carolina farmers are the best in the world. They work day in and day out to put food on our tables and clothes on our back.

Many Seventh District farmers were impacted by Hurricane Florence, but we are working together to ensure a strong recovery. I’m proud to represent our farmers and will continue to fight for them in Washington!

S.C. Army National Guard

It was great to meet with Major General Timothy Sheriff this week! He gave me an update on the South Carolina Army National Guard and we discussed steps taken at the federal level to improve military readiness. I am so grateful for all of the brave South Carolinians who serve in the Army National Guard!
