Uplifting South Carolinians

In the three months since the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has been the law of the land, businesses in South Carolina and across the nation have passed on their savings to their employees. Over 500 companies have offered wage increases, bonuses, and expanded benefits to over 4 million American workers!

On top of this, 90% of Americans are keeping more of their paychecks! I've spoken with many people in our district about how tax reform is impacting their lives. I met an expectant mother who will be able to spend more time with her new baby because her employer expanded parental leave benefits. I spoke with a small business owner who told me about the benefit of being able to immediately write off the full cost of new equipment. I've heard from others across our district who are using their tax cut to pay off bills or save for their children's education. Some people are even donating their extra money to their church or other charity!

Tax reform is uplifting South Carolinians, and I am so proud to have played a role in passing this historic legislation. I want to hear how tax reform is impacting you! Click the link below to tell me what you're doing with your tax cut.

The People's House

More jobs, more opportunities, and a growing economy...Republicans have a record of putting the people's priorities first in Washington. The House has passed 566 bills in the 115th Congress (2017 - 2018), 443 of which are currently in the Senate. Some of our recent legislative accomplishments include:
  • protecting children who survived failed abortions
  • empowering students, teachers, school officials, and law enforcement to identify and intervene before there's violence in our schools
  • repealing provisions of Dodd-Frank to give relief to community banks and Main Street job creators
  • combating human trafficking with tougher penalties for sex traffickers and increased support for victims
...and of course delivering pro-growth, pro-family tax reform! It is such an honor to be your representative, and I'll keep fighting for your priorities in Washington.
