You Can File Your Taxes On a Postcard

The Treasury Department and the IRS unveiled the new tax return for 2019. As promised, the new form is the size of a postcard. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act nearly doubled the standard deduction, meaning fewer people will need to itemize on their tax returns. As a result, the majority of Americans will be able to file their taxes on a form the size of a postcard, greatly simplifying their filing process!

Expanding Care, Lowering Costs

 
  My goal is to create policies that give South Carolinians and all Americans access to high quality, efficient health care services under Medicare. That is why I introduced the Audiology Patient Choice Act, bipartisan legislation that will cut red tape and streamline policy so that Medicare patients can receive necessary care in a more convenient way. I recently spoke to WMBF News about how modernizing Medicare policy will give senior citizens direct access to audiologists, saving time and money for these patients. Meet Our Interns 

 
  We are lucky to have a great group of interns in our Washington D.C. office serving the Seventh District for the rest of the summer!

Mark Tocchio is majoring in Political Science at The Catholic University of America. His favorite part about interning with Congressman Rice is "having access to the Capitol and being in the middle of the country's political body as a college student."

Maya Jefferson is majoring in Business Management at Clemson University. Her favorite part about interning with Congressman Rice is the opportunity "to learn more about politics and aid in helping embark change in our country, as well as being able to attend different Congressional Hearings and lead tours of the Capitol."

Catherine Morris is majoring in Political Communication at The George Washington University. Her favorite part about interning with Congressman Rice is the ability "to attend House and Senate Committee Hearings, explore the Capitol, and other interesting places in Washington D.C." 

Nicole Pfadt is studying Intelligence and National Security at Coastal Carolina University. Her favorite part about interning with Congressman Rice is "learning more about politics and the inner workings of Washington, as well assisting constituents and contributing to Congressman Tom Rice's success."
