The Truth about the Economy

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that the Democrats were drafting articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. I am disappointed that the Democrats continue to push for this sham impeachment, rather than focusing on the issues that really matter.

We all need to take a step back from the noise that is meant to overshadow our booming economy. Conservative policies, like the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, have helped our economy flourish under President Trump’s leadership. I am proud to have worked on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that has spurred the economy. My friends across the aisle can dislike the President but they cannot deny the recent jobs report! Please take a moment and click below and look at how much our economy has improved since the new tax law was implemented. If we could set aside the partisan bickering, then we could continue to pass common sense legislation to further improve our country.

Say goodbye to robocalls

Congress took a big step towards ending irritating robocalls once and for all. Robocalls are not just irritating, they are dangerous. Often times, they are scams designed to trick you into sharing personal information used to defraud you. Last week, the House passed the TRACED Act. The TRACED Act requires telephone carriers to verify calls and empowers people to block calls from scam artists, all at no additional cost to consumers. I am proud to have supported this initiative and look forward to this legislation becoming law.

South Florence High visits D.C.

Students from South Florence High School visited Washington, D.C. last week. During their trip, they stopped by the Capitol for a tour! I was glad to meet them and see so many bright young people engaged in our country’s government.

If you will be visiting Washington, D.C. on an upcoming trip, please call my office to schedule a tour of your own.
