JOBS Act 3.0

This, week the House passed the Jobs and Investor Confidence Act, or the JOBS Act 3.0, building on our bipartisan legacy of legislation that supports small businesses and promotes the entrepreneurial spirit. The JOBS Act 3.0 will build on the economic momentum from tax reform by making it easier for startup companies and small businesses to access capital and attract the investments they need to grow and create jobs. Removing burdensome regulations and modernizing our capital markets will empower entrepreneurs and small businesses to innovate, and set up America to compete and win in the global marketplace.

Supporting Law Enforcement

House Republicans overwhelmingly voted to show our support for ICE by passing House Resolution 990 this week. The brave men and women who serve as ICE agents put their lives on the line to keep drugs out of our communities, protect children from trafficking, and prevent gang violence. Last year, ICE agents made 76,000 drug arrests, 4,818 gang-related arrests, and stopped over 980,000 pounds of drugs at the border. Calls from the left to "abolish ICE" are reckless, radical, and irresponsible. I will always support those who protect South Carolina and our nation.

SC Association of Tourism Regions

It was great to meet with members of the South Carolina Association of Tourism Regions in D.C. this week! We had a productive discussion about ways to support our state's booming tourism industry and grow the Seventh District economy.
