Promises Made, Promises Kept

I had the opportunity to travel to Israel with a Congressional Delegation to meet with senior government officials and attend the formal opening of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem. I was honored to attend this historic event and celebrate another milestone in our strong relationship with Israel. After years of inaction by previous administrations, President Trump delivered on a long overdue promise to support our strongest ally by moving the US Embassy to Israel’s capital. This historic action reaffirmed our enduring friendship with Israel and strengthened our commitment to bring peace and stability to the entire region.

Standing with our Veterans

This week, the House voted to provide better care for our veterans by passing the Mission Act, a set of bipartisan reforms to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). I regularly hear from veterans across our district that have had unsatisfactory experiences with the VA. National Police Week

This week was National Police Week, a week that Congress sets aside each year to honor fallen law enforcement and thank the men and women in blue who put their lives on the line to defend our communities. Police officers and families from around the country traveled to D.C. this week to remember their loved ones who lost their lives serving in the line of duty. Thank you to all of the law enforcement officers across the Seventh District who keep us safe everyday!

Tax Reform Works

Did you know that this is the first year since 2008 that the economy's estimated economic potential was revised upwards? Thanks to pro-growth tax reform, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office is projecting that GDP will reach 3.3% in 2018. In addition to companies passing on the benefits of tax reform to their employees with bonuses, pay raises, and expanded benefits, wages are growing at their fastest pace in 10 years, unemployment claims are at a 48 year low, and businesses are creating jobs. Tax reform is working for our country and working for our district. I believe the best is yet to come!

It was a pleasure to join Trey Paul to discuss how tax reform is making our country and our district more competitive. We also discussed the progress that has been made rebuilding houses after Hurricane Matthew and the Veterans History Project! You can watch the full interview by clicking the link below.
