Hearsay, Hearsay

My friend heard from her cousin’s sister’s brother’s uncle…

On Wednesday, House Democrats kicked off the public hearings for the sham impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.  Democrats refuse to recognize the facts.  Ukrainian President Zelensky has stated that he felt no pressure during the July 25, 2019 call.  Beyond that, Ukraine was not aware that aid had not yet been released and that the aid was released without a Ukrainian investigation.  Their witnesses have no first-hand knowledge of the phone call on July 25 or any interactions with the President on these policies. Their disregard for these facts hurts the American people as they use a political circus to distract from the real issues, such as passing USMCA, finding a solution to prescription drug prices, and securing our nation’s borders.

Caring for America's Elderly

The Ways and Means Committee held a hearing on Caring for Aging Americans on Thursday.  We had a productive discussion regarding all aspects of elder care including hospice, caregivers, long-term care, Alzheimer's, and social security. I look forward to working on commonsense policies that will improve the integrity of our country's programs that help care for our most vulnerable beneficiaries.

South Carolina Army National Guard visits DC

On Thursday, I had the opportunity to sit down with members of South Carolina’s Army National Guard. I am so very thankful for their service to South Carolina and our country.
