Nov 30 2020
Thanksgiving is a time to step back and reflect on all the blessings we have been given. This year, I am especially thankful for my family, my wife and sons, and their unending support. I am thankful for the freedoms that this great nation provides us. Most importantly, I am thankful for my constituents who have given me the opportunity to serve them in Washington, D.C. I hope you will take a moment this week to reflect on all we have to be thankful for in the Seventh District.
Military Family Appreciation
November is Military Family Appreciation Month! This is a time to reflect on our military branches and an opportunity to honor the sacrifices made by our military families.
More than 1.5 million men and women serve in our Armed Forces. They each make the selfless sacrifice to wake up everyday and answer the call to duty.
Our Military is our greatest asset. Thank you and thank you to your families!
National Tax Security Awareness Week
Monday kicks off National Tax Security Awareness Week, which is Nov. 30 through Dec. 4. This year, there's a heightened need for security as fraudsters seek to use the COVID-19 to scam taxpayers and tax preparers. New protections being offered by Security Summit partners in January can help protect people against tax-related identity theft.
The goal of National Tax Security Awareness Week is to remind people about important steps they can take to protect themselves and their tax information.

Letter to NPRC Director
This week I, along with 232 colleagues, sent a letter to National Personal Record Center Director Scott Levins to voice our concern with the growing number of unprocessed requests for military personnel, health, and medical records from the NPRC during the pandemic.
The NPRC is vital to our nation’s system to provide and care for veterans. As members of Congress, we are ready to assist in effort to implement new policies and procedures that will best support our vets.
